Pediatric Asthma

About Pediatric Asthma in Children

Pediatric asthma is a very common type of asthma which is caused by the excess of mucus produced in the airways in addition to inflammation of muscles in the respiratory system.
The respiratory muscles can contract suddenly causing these pediatric asthma symptoms.
As this occurs, the child will suddenly experience shortness of breath as well as coughing, wheezing and other symptoms of pediatric asthma.
Pediatric asthma can be caused by a number of different things, but when narrowed down it can be broadly observed as a result of either genetics and/or asthma related allergic reactions to things in the air or even infection.
When the child shows signs of pediatric asthma as they are our playing or running, they may experience tightness in their chest or inability to breathe. In this case, it would be recommended to keep the child elevated in order to help them breathe easier. Be sure to speak with your medical professional about these matters if you have not spoken with your doctor already.
One of the most common reasons many children experience pediatric asthma symptoms is due to strenuous activity such as running, exercise activities or even swimming, and it is a good idea to take more preventative measures for pediatric asthma before any activity occurs.
Some good pediatric asthma preventative measures include using a bronchodilator medication which may help reduce the likelihood of an asthma attack.
Another strong cause of pediatric asthma in many children is due to viral infection, food allergies as well as airborne irritants such as dust and pollen in the air due to changes in the seasons and weather.
If your child tends to become agitated easily, or is exposed to heightened levels of emotional stress, and begins to breathe heavily and rapidly when experiencing stressful situations which can cause them to hyperventilate or more, this can easily cause symptoms of pediatric asthma in those children who suffer from asthma and should be calmed down immediately.
The child with pediatric asthma tends to breathe so hard and fast that they will begin to experience symptoms of asthma and possibly have an asthma attack.
It is important to speak with your medical professional about your child’s pediatric asthma symptoms as well as finding effective treatments that help fit your child’s individual needs.
There are many different ways to help treat pediatric asthma and it is important to also discuss the various combinations of natural asthma remedies which can be combined with doctor medications that your child may be on depending on the severity of their pediatric asthma.
